This lecture was delivered at Boston’s Ford Hall Forum on April 26, 1987, published in The Objectivist Forum in June 1987 and anthologized in The Voice of Reason: Essays in Objectivist Thought in 1989. Ayn Rand was unique — as a mind and as a person. If I could be granted a wish outside my power, it would be to meet and talk to someone like her again; unfortunately, I do not expect this.
The article was anthologized in The Voice of Reason: Essays in Objectivist Thought (1989) and The Ayn Rand Column (1991 and 1998).
